This International Standard does not apply to external floating-roof tanks.

This European Standard gives guidelines for the design, construction and operation of all onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) installations including those for the liquefaction, storage, vaporisation, transfer and handling of LNG. This European Standard is valid for the following plant types: - LNG export installations (plant), between the designated gas inlet boundary limit, and the ship manifold; - LNG receiving installations (plant), between the ship manifold and the designated gas outlet boundary limit; - peak-shaving plants, between designated gas inlet and outlet boundary limits. A short description of each of these installations is given in Annex G. Satellite plants are excluded from this European Standard. Satellite plants with storage capacity of less than 200 t are covered by EN 13645.

Selection of corrosion inhibitor for oil field and refinery applications involves qualification of corrosion inhibitors in the laboratory (see Guide G 170). Field conditions should be simulated in the laboratory in a fast and cost-effective manner (1).3 Oil field corrosion inhibitors should provide protection over a range of flow conditions from stagnant to that found during typical production conditions. Not all inhibitors are equally effective over this range of conditions so it is important for a proper evaluation of inhibitors to test the inhibitors using a range of flow conditions. The RC test system is relatively inexpensive and uses simple flat specimens that allow replicates to be run with each setup. (2-13). In this practice, a general procedure is presented to obtain reproducible results using RC to simulate the effects of different types of coupon materials, inhibitor concentrations, oil, gas and brine compositions, temperature, pressure, and flow. Oil field fluids may often contain sand; however, this practice does not cover erosive effects that occur when sand is present.1.1 This practice covers a generally accepted procedure to use the rotating cage (RC) for evaluating corrosion inhibitors for oil field and refinery applications.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. This European standard specifies the design, safety and marking requirements and test methods for flueless patio heaters for outdoor or amply ventilated area use only. Although they are not covered by this standard, the requirements of this standard are applicable to appliances that may be used inside habitations which, in addition, shall have a heat input not exceeding 4,2 kW and comply with EN 449. These appliances are for use exclusively with gases of the third family as defined in Clause 4. This European standard applies to appliances that have a nominal heat input not exceeding 17 kW (based on the gross calorific value); -- fixed or, -- movable, including those which comprise a housing for a transportable and rechargeable liquefied petroleum gas cylinder. This European standard does not apply to appliances equipped with a fan for either combustion or circulation of the convection air. This European standard does not cover LPG containers for liquefied petroleum gas, neither their associated regulator nor tubing and flexible hoses which shall comply with national requirements in force. This European standard does not lay down any specific requirements for the thermal efficiency of this type of appliances, but the requirements relating to combustion, which is a safety matter, ensure that the gas fuel will burn efficiently. However a method to measure the performance is described in informative Annex C. This standard does not apply to appliances covered by EN 416-1, EN 419-1, EN 449, EN 461 and EN 521. This European standard only covers type testing. Items relating to quality assurance systems, production testing and particularly certificates of conformity of auxiliary equipment are not covered by this European standard.
