Sampling and analysis of iron, steel and other ferrous metals - Methods of analysis - Determination of calcium - Steel: flame atomic absorption spectrometric method
This EURONORM specifies a method for the determination of calcium in steels by means of flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The method is applicable to non-alloy and low-alloy steels with calcium contents greater than 0.0002% (m/m).
NOTE - The method has also been successfully applied to a highly alloyed steel with appropriate modification of the cali-bration solutions to contain the principal alloying elements in concentrations similar to those in the sample to be analysed (see Annex).
