This specification covers two types of hose suitable for use in those assemblies that are used (at ambient temperatures in the range -26 - 55 °C) for the refuelling of aircraft on the ground with petroleum fuels that have an aromatic hydrocarbon content not exceeding 30 % by volume.
NOTE

d) The fuelling hose covered by the specification may also be used for aircraft de-fuelling operations, but attention is drawn to the fact that a type of hose that has an embedded wire helix may be necessary for high speed de-fuelling.
