适用范围: This British Standard gives guidance on the design of spinal orthoses. It is intended for designers of orthoses, clinicians prescribing orthoses for patients, orthotists, and manufacturers of both commercially available and custom made orthoses for individual patients. The standard is not applicable to sacro-iliac orthoses (Sb), that is, orthoses that encompass the whole or a part of the sacro-iliac region of the trunk. NOTE Guidance on the manufacture of the components of spinal orthoses is given in Annex A. Guidance on the marking, packaging and accompanying documentation for orthoses is given in Annex B.
